End of Fresher's week (07/09) Highlights: Team building in Chilworth Manor

Its a friday..and also the end of fresher's week. Its by far the most enjoyable day of the week yet. In the morning, a presentation was held by Mrs Sandra..It was fun especially the old-school still clay video that we were shown. It was about to avoid HIV infections. The characters were a captain and his mate. so they talk and talk...most of the parts are funny. Especially when the captain changed into a DICK HEAD and puts a CONDOM onto himself.ahahaha!!! why? because he was teaching his mate how to put on a condom..ahaha..sucker!!!

Then later afternoon, we had our teambuilding event at Chilworth manor. We went on our buses at 12.45pm.. It was a 15-20 min drive to our destination..It was a nice sight really..the manor itself looks really nice..ok, so what do we do there? team up and have fun!!! it was great..we were divided into 18teams. All teams are presented by their colour. My team was lime. First the member at the very front (we were lined up) was selected as captain. ahaha.. and the captain gets to be our dance instructor.ahaha.. thats was the first game we played. The DJ played music , the captians start dancing and we were to follow.ahahah.we had lots of games..We had: Jumping over hurdle like bouncers while balancing a glass of water over our heads, kicking ball with BIG footware, climbing mountain like bouncers to get puzzles, a game of Bingo while wearing OLD PEOPLE costumes (their antiques), running through a bouncer to pick up wigs and clothes and dress our teammates.ahaha!!! Everyone was having fun goofing around..Throwing water at each other..tackling and all that..it was great..Here are some picture of the events(above)..and The light blue(they call themselves baby blue) team won the competition (yeah, it was a competition..teams who do well in games gets points) ahaha.we then head back to our campus at 5.45pm..and that was the end..great fun xD

..Will I be able to make myself noticable to those around me?

..Will I be able to spend less time alone like what I did before?

..Will i be able to enjoy myself more without intefering the progress of my studies?

I kept thinking..

..This is what i've always wanted to do..

..To prove that I can do it..

..To show that I can be a better person..

..To show that I can be independent..

..To show that I can live..

..I am not alone..

I kept thinking..

..I can do this...

..I must do this..

..There's no turning back..

..Whats done is done..

..I kept thinking..Not to look back at my past..but to keep moving forward..always..

1 week in UK..

Alright..I've been in this country for about 1 week already..What do I think so far? Well it ain't all that bad:

• The shops in the city closes at 6pm the latest. So no night shopping :( only regular stores are open until 10pm (If you're lucky that is) Stuff they sell are ok. There's plenty of good stuf to buy. Yes, The prices are expensive but hey, some are actually worth they're value..As long as you can control your shopping, You'll live ;)
• Toilets; some are nice. You got the regular sinks, tissue, blower to dry your hands off but as for the toilet bowls (for the malays), there's no tap water so You'l have to wipe your @$$ after you're done. Yes, it's kinda disgusting. But you'll live. Take note: Get a bucket if you're planning on living in UK or some other countries.
• Food; this is especialy for muslims. Its really hard to find halal food at the place where I live in. Some of the food I ate are less spicy. I didn't like the rice here because its watery and it made my stomach feel bad..

Overall i would say UK is not really a bad country to live in. Yes its expensive and halal food is hard to find. But I'm sure you'll be able to make it through..I hope I do. peace mates~

Day 2 of Fresher's week

We're already having an exam on the 2nd day..a Mathematics examination!!! urgh..to think it was going to be really tough. Not even half of the topics we revised on came out!!We were given a CD before we came to Southampton. It contains porn..NO!! i mean Maths topics and exercises that needs to b completed before coming into the Academy (which i unfortunately didn't finish). There was a topic that i had never heard before: Spherical Trigonometry, When I first LOOK through the topic..I said "What the F**K is this?" I find it quite hard as first..but during last minute revision, I managed to understand some of the concepts..

The next day (Tuesday, which is today) we did the test. Like I said before..it wasnt as bad as I taught. Logarithm and the sphere thingy didn't come up so I think I did well...Than after that we had a Briefing with Captain Saddler, a chosen pilot for cruise ships and a part timer in the Academy..He talked about career oppurtunities at sea as deck officers. He talked about his experiences..( mostly about the chances of attracting women~interesting)..I got abit more interested in the course (I need something to keep me forward..a reason to be there)..then bla bla bla..end of story..

Then a short Library and IT induction..very short, took only 30mins..then me and the guys went to city again..just to find out that the shops closes at 6pm!!! God, This F**king country is so different from other countries..the toilets were bad enough.lets not forget the food as well...sigh,Gonna have to get used to it..so we went back at 6.50pm..once I came back..I immediately crashed into me laptop...ehehe..I wish to talk more but I have to sleep.Its 12.09am and I have to wake at 7am tomorrow..I'll continue posting whenever I am free..Cheers~
